Accounts Receivable Specialist
Our client is seeking a part-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their business office. This fully onsite role offers a flexible schedule of approximately 2025 hours per week and is a great fit for an experienced accounting professional seeking part-time work.

Accounts Receivable Specialist Key Responsibilities
- The AR Specialist will manage tuition billing and maintain family accounts in QuickBooks Online.
- Process payments, including checks, cash, and multiple tuition payment plans.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with families regarding past-due accounts.
- The AR Specialist will respond to billing questions from families, faculty, and staff.
- Assist with transportation and food-service billing as needed.
- The AR Specialist will run reports, download payment information, and maintain accurate account records.
Qualifications of the Accounts Receivable Specialist Role
- Prior experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or a related accounting role.
- Strong communication skills and confidence handling sensitive financial conversations professionally.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online preferred.
- Basic Excel skills.
- Associate degree preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in place of education.
Schedule: Approximately 2025 hours per week, generally across four days, with some flexibility. Summer hours remain similar but are adjusted around the school's Friday closure.
Work Environment: Fully onsite in a professional, collaborative business office. Business casual attire is expected.
