Radiation Therapist I

Under general direction and supervision and in accordance with prescription, operates x-ray therapy equipment in order to simulate and/or treat patients for malignancies and pain. Responsibilities Documents treatment procedures in patient’s charts and verifies accuracy. Performs quality assurance checks daily on equipment. Performs calculations when required. Performs basic dosimetry calculation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in RadiationTherapy Technology or graduate of a CAHEA accredited school to RadiationTherapy or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Current registration or registryeligible with the ARRT.Mustsuccessfully complete registry examination in Radiation Therapy within one yearof date of hire. Operates all linear accelerators and simulators with minimalsupervision.
