Role Summary
The HR & Recruiting Intern will support the People Operations and Recruiting teams by assisting with talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR administrative processes. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the full employee lifecycle while offering practical experience in a fast-paced aerospace and technology environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in Human Resources, Recruiting, or Business Operations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting activities, including candidate sourcing, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
• Support the management of applicant tracking systems and recruiting documentation.
• Assist with onboarding activities, including preparing new hire materials and coordinating pre-employment requirements.
• Help maintain employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation in accordance with company policies.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and company events.
• Conduct research and assist with HR projects, process improvements, and reporting activities.
• Prepare spreadsheets, presentations, and other materials to support People Operations initiatives.
• Participate in recruiting, HR, and cross-functional team meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and candidate information.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a growing organization.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required to perform the responsibilities of this role.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
• If this role requires access to information controlled under U.S. export control laws (ITAR/EAR), applicants must also qualify as a "U.S. person" under 22 CFR §120.62 (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual such as an asylee or refugee).

Preferred

• Prior internship, volunteer, campus leadership, or work experience in Human Resources, Recruiting, Administration, or a related field.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, or recruiting tools.
• Interest in talent acquisition, employee relations, HR operations, or organizational development.
• Experience coordinating projects, events, or team activities.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with candidates, employees, and stakeholders.
• Ability to occasionally move throughout office, laboratory, warehouse, or production environments.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering manufacturing or production areas.
