Our client, a boutique law firm in downtown Minneapolis, is seeking an Associate Attorney to support its expanding practice. This attorney will work closely with experienced attorneys on a wide range of transactional and litigation matters, with an emphasis on property and real estate-related issues.
Ideal candidates will have 2-4+ years of transferable legal experience and a desire to take on meaningful responsibility in a smaller firm environment. The position offers broad exposure, direct mentorship, and the opportunity to build experience across multiple practice areas while developing a strong foundation in real estate-related work. Prior real estate experience is not required.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Assist senior attorneys with litigation and transactional matters
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, contracts, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Support all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and case strategy
- Review and analyze contracts, agreements, and other related documents
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties
- Participate in hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings
- Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines across multiple matters
Qualifications:
- 2-4+ years of transferable legal experience , ideally with exposure to real estate law, construction litigation, commercial litigation, or other related civil litigation matters
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Licensed to practice law in Minnesota or eligible for admission
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
