We are seeking a motivated Family Law Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a new attorney looking to gain hands-on experience and grow within a supportive, collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities :

 

• Handle a wide range of family law cases, including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, property division, and post-decree issues.
• Provide compassionate counsel to clients during emotionally charged and complex family law matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Represent clients in court, at mediation, and in settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with shareholder attorneys and paralegals to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
• Conduct legal research and stay current on Minnesota family law changes.

 

Qualifications :

 

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Minnesota State Bar (or pending).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A demonstrated interest in family law through coursework, internships, or previous experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently on assigned tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

 

Preferred Qualifications :

 

• Experience or internships in family law.

Comfort with alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and Early Neutral Evaluations (SENE/FENE).
