Associate Attorney (0-2 year)

Bryant Dieringer Wilson, LLP is a litigation firm representing seniors and their families in elder abuse, financial elder abuse, and trust and estate disputes. Our clients come to us at difficult moments — after a loved one has been neglected, exploited, or cut out of an estate — and our work is to hold the responsible parties accountable. It is meaningful litigation with real stakes for real people, and our associates are in it from day one. The Role We are hiring an associate attorney with 0–2 years of experience. This is a hands‑on litigation position, not a document‑review job. You will carry your own share of the case work from the start, with direct partner mentorship as you build the skills that make a trial lawyer. You will: Draft and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission Meet and confer on discovery disputes and prepare motions to compel Research and write law and motion papers — demurrers, motions for summary judgment, discovery motions, and trial motions Take and defend depositions of parties, family members, caregivers, financial institutions, and experts Review and analyze medical records, financial records, and estate planning documents Work directly with clients and their families, and appear in court on your own matters Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing 0–2 years of litigation experience; elder abuse, probate, trust and estate, or personal injury experience is a plus but is not required Strong legal writing and research skills Comfort with direct client contact and the judgment to handle sensitive family situations with care Organized, self‑directed, and able to move multiple cases forward at once Salary of $100,000 – $130,000, depending on experience Medical insurance 401(k) Paid time off and paid holidays State Bar dues, CLE, and professional association memberships covered Schedule & Location Full-time, Monday through Friday, in person at our San Diego office.
