Billing Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to support a professional services organization in the Brickell area. This is a temporary project expected to last several months and is ideal for someone with billing experience within a law firm, accounting firm, consulting firm, or other professional services environment. About the Role This role involves supporting the billing process for a professional services organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established billing cycles. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and process client invoices accurately and within established billing cycles. Handle high-volume and/or detailed client billing, including adjustments, credits, and billing corrections. Review billing information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to invoicing. Work closely with attorneys, accountants, consultants, or internal professionals to obtain billing approvals and supporting information. Maintain client billing records, rates, and account information. Research and resolve billing inquiries from clients and internal teams. Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and outstanding invoice research as needed. Prepare billing reports and reconcile billing activity. Support month-end billing deadlines and special billing projects. Maintain accurate documentation and follow established internal controls and procedures. Qualifications 2+ years of billing experience, preferably within legal, accounting, consulting, or another professional services environment. Strong understanding of billing and accounts receivable processes. Experience handling detailed or client‑specific invoicing requirements. Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting or billing software. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies. Comfortable working with deadlines and managing multiple billing priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to work independently and quickly learn established processes.
