Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (state of Arizona or eligible for reciprocity)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working with elementary-aged students with a variety of learning needs
- Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and documentation
- Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt teaching techniques to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support to elementary students in a resource room setting
- Develop and manage individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with general education teachers to ensure student needs are met
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with families to build positive, supportive relationships
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
