Job Title Part Time Faculty/Lecturer - Computer Science Location Alpine Department Computer, Mathematical and Physical Sciences Posting Date 10/12/2018 Until Filled Yes Salary $2,550-3,200 based on degree and enrollment Requirements Applicants must have a Master's in Computer Science or a related field. Strong working knowledge of core computer science concepts including data structures, software engineering, operating systems and computer architecture. Preferred PhD Teaching experience and research at the university level Industry experience Administrative experience and committee work at the university level Experience developing an application from design to publication Primary Responsibilities Teach Computer Science classes. Work with members of the department to ensure teaching objectives match program objectives and students are able to transition from lower level to upper level course work. Responsible for the safety of others. Must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times. Position is Security Sensitive. Salary Details Masters Degree under 20 students $850/credit or $2,550 per 3 SCH. Masters Degree over 20 students $500 extra. Ph.D. under 20 students $900/credit or $2,700 per 3 SCH. Ph.D. over 20 students $500 extra. Summer Faculty $4,200 (Per 3 SCH) max 6 SCH per session, prorated for fewer than 10 students. Summer courses above the max 6 SCH are paid at the overload rate of $2,130.
