You will need to be able to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to your discipline or functional area. You are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to others.It is your responsibility to use technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your team’s work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.ResponsibilitiesGathers and analyzes business requirements for assigned functional and technical areas using expanded conceptual and practical knowledgeWorks closely with business process teams, technical teams and other stakeholders to design and build objects which meet requirementsCommunicates effectively both within the team and with external stakeholders (e.g. businesses and technical counterparts)Communicates status, metrics, risks, and issues on a timely basisApplies knowledge and experience in software development methodologies in order to support work processesDocuments detailed designsBuilds, tests and implements application objectsAssists with issue resolutionHelps ensure that functional and technical designs meet business requirements, conform to Dow architecture standards, and optimize productivity and long-term product/system visionQM Domain-Specific ResponsibilitiesSupport SAP Quality Management (QM) solutions that enable quality processes across global manufacturing operationsPartner with quality business process experts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and help translate them into scalable and supportable technology solutionsLead functional analysis, solution design, testing, deployment, and support activities for SAP QM enhancements and projectsSupport quality execution processes by addressing application issues related to inspection lots, results recording, usage decisions, quality notifications, quality reporting, and batch-related quality managementAnalyze and resolve application, process, data, and integration issues by applying structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis approaches in collaboration with business and technical teamsSupport and contribute to project delivery, system upgrades, testing cycles, and deployments impacting quality management applicationsDevelop and maintain functional specifications, testing strategies, support procedures, and knowledge transfer materials to improve solution clarity and supportabilityMonitor and support interfaces between SAP Quality Management (QM) solutions and integrated applications to ensure reliable data flow and business continuityCollaborate with business process experts, developers, architects, and support teams to improve application reliability, usability, and supportabilityParticipate in incident management, problem management, and continuous improvement initiatives supporting a 24x7 manufacturing environmentProvide knowledge transfer and functional guidance to junior team members and support resourcesQM Domain-Specific SkillsStrong understanding of manufacturing quality management processes and how technology solutions support end-to-end quality execution in global manufacturing environmentsProven experience supporting SAP Quality Management (QM) solutions and related manufacturing applications in a production support and delivery environmentDeep understanding of inspection processing, results recording, usage decisions, quality notifications, batch quality management, and quality reporting conceptsAbility to translate business requirements into functional solution designs and support delivery of scalable and supportable application enhancementsExperience supporting application lifecycle activities including incident management, testing, defect resolution, root cause analysis, and deployment activitiesExperience troubleshooting and resolving application, data, and integration issues across SAP and connected enterprise systemsStrong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across quality, manufacturing, and IT teamsStrong communication and documentation skills, including development of functional specifications, testing strategies, and support proceduresDemonstrated ability to lead knowledge transfer activities and provide guidance to junior analystsQualificationsA minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant or 5 years relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.5+ years of relevant experienceStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA Quality Management solutions within a production support and delivery modelExperience supporting or enhancing SAP and non-SAP quality and manufacturing applications, including custom solutions and integrated enterprise systemsExperience with application support activities in a production environment, including issue triage, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and defect resolutionStrong familiarity with system integrations, data flows, and enterprise application landscapes within quality and manufacturing environmentsExperience contributing to automation, analytics, AI-enabled solutions, or continuous improvement initiatives supporting quality or manufacturing operationsYour SkillsSystems Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Knowledge of the end-to-end software development process, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Aligns directly with experience in software development, application support, and Agile methodologies.Proactive Problem Solving: The ability to identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues before they become larger problems. Supports the requirement for strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Information Technology (IT): Broad understanding of technology infrastructure, software applications, systems, and support practices. Forms the foundation for software development and application support responsibilities.Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud-based platforms, services, and modern development environments. Complements source control, Azure DevOps, application development, and solutions delivery activities commonly used in enterprise environments.Communication: The ability to effectively convey technical and business information through verbal and written interactions with stakeholders, users, and development teams.
