Restaurant Manager
Cipriani Las Vegas
POSITION PURPOSE:
We are seeking a hospitality-focused and organized individual to join our team as a Restaurant Manager for our Las Vegas location. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the restaurant, leading the front-of-house team, maintaining service standards, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences in line with Cipriani’s standards of quality, hospitality, and excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in upscale or fine dining restaurant management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage daily operations in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including reservations, table management, service flow, opening and closing procedures, and guest relations.
- Recruit, train, supervise, schedule, and develop front-of-house staff, fostering a positive, polished, and collaborative team environment.
- Ensure all guests receive exceptional service with a focus on hospitality, attention to detail, and personalized guest experiences.
- Communicate with guests to receive feedback, address concerns, and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure food, beverage, and service quality standards are consistently met through regular observation, coaching, inspections, and staff training.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, beverage offerings, wine, pairings, and Cipriani service standards to effectively assist guests and support staff.
- Prepare and review financial reports, maintain accurate records of income and expenses, analyze revenue trends, and support data-driven decisions to optimize performance and profitability.
- Monitor and control budgets, expenses, inventory, and purchasing; implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and service excellence.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, maintaining appropriate stock levels, and reducing waste.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, alcohol beverage control, and company policies.
- Conduct regular audits and staff training to ensure safe and effective restaurant operations.
- Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams to support promotional strategies, private dining, special events, and buyouts.
- Protect the restaurant, guests, and employees by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control standards.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Regular attendance in conformance with company standards is essential to the successful performance of this position.
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the organization, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Attendance at scheduled training sessions, meetings, and pre-shifts is required.
- Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Cipriani rules, regulations, policies, and procedures for the safe and effective operation of the facilities.
- Employees who violate company rules, regulations, or policies may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in upscale or fine dining restaurant management, or a similar leadership role.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to professionally address guest concerns and resolve service issues.
- Strong understanding of food and beverage service, wine, pairings, and fine dining etiquette.
- Ability to maintain composure, professionalism, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to communicate clear directions and information to guests, employees, supervisors, and management.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely.
- Proficiency in restaurant management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bookkeeping, reporting, or financial recordkeeping knowledge preferred.
- Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, holidays, and business needs.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by facility environmental systems.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and exert well-paced mobility for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, grasp, write, and perform repetitive motions as needed.
- Must be able to move throughout the restaurant and property on a timely basis.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and employees.
- Vision occurs continuously, with the most common visual functions being near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Auditory and visual abilities are required to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Ability to perform duties within varying temperature ranges as business needs require.
