POSITION PURPOSE: Beaufort County School District is accepting applications for a qualified intern to join our team. We provide an internship program that allows individuals to learn the fundamentals of school leadership to candidates earning an advanced degree through a state recognized accredited program. To function as a member of the total educational team and bring specialized knowledge and skills related to school administration and leadership.

EXPERIENCE: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to use the Internet for research applications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- To complete the Intern Preparation Program with all competencies attained.
- To perform assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- To perform assigned tasks with a high standard of quality and accuracy.
- To perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as the Principal or his/her designee may assign.
- Master's degree in progress
- Valid South Carolina Educator's Professional Certificate at the elementary or secondary level
- Minimum qualifying score(s) on the area examinations required by the State Board of Education
- Verification of three years teaching experience, including at least one year of teaching in grades pre-K-8 for elementary, 7-12 for secondary
- Completion of an advanced program approved by the State Board of Education for the training of elementary or secondary principals and supervisors
- Present a minimum qualifying score on the Praxis, South Carolina's Supervision and Administration Examination, prior to enrolling in an internship.
- Present a Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate
- Earn a passing score on the Praxis, South Carolina's Supervision and Administration Examination.
- Apply to APPLITRACK to register for an internship
- Meet with Jill McAden to review request for admission to an internship.
