Chat Specialist
The Chat Specialist provides essential emotional support and crisis intervention to individuals via text and online chat. This role involves engaging with help-seekers across various platforms-including suicide and crisis lines and information helplines-to de-escalate mental health crises and provide referrals to community resources. Extensive training is provided to ensure all specialists are confident and prepared to navigate challenging conversations and intervene effectively during critical situations. Education: High School
Experience: 1-4 years
Qualifications:
-Experience: Minimum of 6 months of working experience in a call center, customer service, human service, or mental health field.
-Education: High school diploma or GED required.
-Communication: Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills; must be able to read, write, and follow complex oral or written instructions.
-Crisis Aptitude: Comfortable navigating challenging, high-emotion conversations and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
-Technical Skills: Strong general technical skills and the ability to manage interactions across text and chat platforms.
Schedule Options: Day and Night shifts are available.
