INTERMITTENT POSITIONS, NOT FULLTIME. Intermittent positions are hourly part-time positions and working hours may not exceed 1500 hours per calendar year. Permanent/Intermittent employees still receive State health and retirement benefits.

Metropolitan State Hospital is located in the City of Norwalk.

Under general supervision, incumbents administer care to forensic, LPS and medically fragile patients; assist in planning and evaluation of nursing care; provide a basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care; and are expected to facilitate the rehabilitation of forensic clients and patients.

Candidates must be willing to work in any Unit/Program and any shift to meet the needs of the facility.

TRAINING EXPECTATIONS:  If selected it is mandatory that you attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) in its entirety. NEO can be scheduled up to 30 days for level of care staff (clinical).
