Practice Assistant

Support providers with the delivery of high-quality health care to ambulatory patients Support the effective operations of a fast-paced practice Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards Respond to verbal and electronic requests for information and assistance using proper policies, reference tools and provider instructions Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and legal regulations Apply knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations Support HR compliance processes, including assisting with completion and verification of I-9 forms Assist with drug screening processes, including specimen collection, shipment, and ordering supplies Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, provider, and organizational information Complete other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor Requirements At least one year of experience working in a medical office and/or mental health is (preferred) Experience working with patients who are suffering from anxiety and depression (preferred) Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor, and interface well with patients in a mental health setting (preferred) Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team Excellent computer skills Associates or bachelor’s degree (preferred) Some experience in healthcare settings (preferred) Knowledge of working at a clinical setting (preferred) Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in supporting healthcare delivery in ambulatory settings, maintaining patient confidentiality, and adhering to compliance standards.
