About the Role We are seeking a Family Advocate to join our team. The Family Advocate builds strong, goal-oriented relationships with families, provides case management and support services, and connects families to resources that promote self-sufficiency and child well‑being. This role serves as a vital link between families, community resources, and the classroom to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive. Key Responsibilities Build positive, culturally responsive relationships with families to support their goals and children's development. Assist families in developing and following through on Family Partnership Agreements to promote self‑sufficiency. Conduct recruitment, intake, and orientation for families entering the program. Provide referrals and connect families with community resources such as health care, housing, employment, and parenting support. Maintain accurate family records and documentation in ChildPlus and ensure program compliance. Support families through transitions, including kindergarten readiness and connections to future care or education. Conduct home visits and provide crisis assistance when needed. Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and community partners to provide comprehensive family support. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to strengthen family engagement practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, Counseling, or a related field OR a credential/certification in one of these areas (must be obtained within 18 months of hire if not already held). Four (4) years of experience in case management or related work. Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency with computer software (Word, Excel, databases); experience with ChildPlus preferred. Conversational Spanish strongly preferred. Must pass all required criminal history background checks. Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and occasionally out-of-area.
