**Required Experience and Qualifications:** - Years of experience: 3 - Trauma Level I Experience: Required (screen > 2 years if has at least 1 year in Level 1 trauma experience) - 18 months nursing experience required, although exceptions may be made depending on the unit - Circulating experience required - Scrub experience preferred **Certifications:** - BLS (Basic Life Support) required - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred **Licensure:** - Must have Indiana, compact, or temporary license at the time of start - License must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted **Supervisory Experience:** - Previous charge experience: Required **Education:** - Traveler's university must be accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation **Skills:** - Competency in a variety of surgeries such as Abdominal/Vaginal hysterectomy, ALIF (Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion), Arthroscopy, Cholecystectomy, Craniotomy, Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, General OR, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Neuro and Ortho procedures, Trauma, and others as listed in the detailed job description **Requirements and Preferences:** - First-time travelers accepted - Local applicants accepted with conditions - Floating is required within the scope to meet facility needs - Must work 2/3 major holidays **Scheduling and Availability:** - Call and holidays required: 40-60 hours per 6 weeks, can vary - RTO must be approved beyond 5 days non-holiday - Candidate MUST WORK 2 out of 3 major holidays **Background Policy and References:** - Two supervisor references required - Background policy to be noted prior to submission **Additional Information:** - IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at their facilities effective 11/30/24, except for Periop/OR RNs, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers - Scrub color provided - No block scheduling available - Flu vaccine required — medical/religious exemptions only - Compliance with IU Health Travel Compliance regulations - Free parking available
