RN Critical Care Transport

About This Role The RN Critical Care Transport provides emergency and critical care services during transport, including mobile stroke, under the direction of a nurse practitioner or physician. This role is ideal for experienced RNs with a background in critical care and the ability to work in high-pressure environments. Highlights Pay: $43.00/hour Location: Cleveland, OH Facility: Cleveland Clinic Department/Unit: Main Campus Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift What You'll Do Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients during transport. Demonstrate clinical proficiency in managing critically ill and injured patients. Incorporate flight physiology and environmental influences into care plans. Communicate with medical control nurse practitioner/physician for patient care issues. Maintain self, equipment, vehicles, and aircraft in a mission-ready state. Participate in triage of patients and assignment of transport modes. Engage in educational advancement and public relations activities as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education BSN preferred. Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Experience Minimum three years or 4,000 hours of RN experience in a Critical Care environment. Critical Care experience must include ventilator management and invasive hemodynamic monitoring. Pediatric experience required for pediatric specialty team positions. Licenses & Certifications Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Newborn Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 6 months of hire. Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), or Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) required within 2 years of hire. TNCC or ITLS with supplemental training required within 1 year of hire. Passport required for entry to Canada and international transports.
