Registered Nurse - CVICU

Role Overview The registered nurse provides independent and complex cardiovascular care in an 8-bed CVICU, working closely with surgeons and specialized staff. They utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation, addressing patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs. The nurse administers medications, monitors treatment effects, documents patient information, and educates patients and families. Key Responsibilities Meet competency standards in self-leadership and team leadership. Deliver comprehensive nursing care based on ANA standards. Assess and address patients’ psychosocial needs. Administer treatments and medications per protocols. Document patient histories, symptoms, and care activities. Provide education to patients and caregivers. Delegate tasks appropriately to care team members. Qualifications & Skills BSN preferred; RN license required. 1+ year of critical care or relevant nursing experience preferred; new graduates considered. Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
