Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our modern outpatient office in Appomattox, Virginia. The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life integration. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive and individualized care to patients, accurately assessing their unique therapeutic needs and setting specific treatment goals.
• Manage a balanced caseload to ensure each patient receives focused attention and personalized therapy sessions.
• Leverage your expertise in orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation to deliver tailored treatment plans, integrating various therapeutic techniques.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and cost-effective treatment options designed to enhance patient mobility and restore functional independence.
• Promote non-surgical solutions that reduce reliance on medications and enhance patients' overall wellbeing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create holistic care plans that address both physical and emotional aspects of recovery.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient encounters, treatment methodologies, and progress using EMR software, specifically Web PT, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Guide and motivate patients through their rehabilitation journey, fostering an encouraging and supportive atmosphere.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and share knowledge on the latest physical therapy techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with patients of varying ages and backgrounds, requiring sensitivity and adaptability to meet diverse needs and goals. Your role is crucial in helping these individuals regain their abilities, improve their physical function, and achieve better health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and orthopedic rehabilitation practices.
• A strong ability to design and implement effective exercise and rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patients.
• Experience using EMR software systems, particularly Web PT, for accurate documentation and patient tracking.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current physical therapy practices and techniques grounded in research.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Proven success in developing and executing individualized treatment plans that yield positive patient outcomes.
• A track record of creating strong patient relationships that promote adherence to rehabilitation programs.

Compensation and Benefits
