ABOUT OUR AGENCY: I've been a State Farm agent for 18 years, and before that I spent time in a corporate leadership role with State Farm - experience that shaped how I lead and support others today. What truly sets our agency apart is how customer-focused we are. We take pride in doing what's right for people, providing excellent service, and building real relationships in the community.

Our team is small but mighty, with three full-time team members who work together in a friendly, supportive environment. I'm also very invested in helping my team succeed, not just professionally, but personally too - because when people feel supported, they do their best work.

Outside of the office, I'm a proud University of Akron graduate with a B.S. in Business, and I've earned both the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations through The American College. I spend my time outside of work with my family, training for cycling races, and staying involved through my church and a local Annapolis-area Christian school.

ROLE DESCRIPTION: Jim Brown - State Farm Agent is a leading insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Receptionist - State Farm Agent Team Member.

Responsibilities:

• Greet clients warmly in person and over the phone, directing them to the appropriate team members.
• Manage appointment scheduling and office communications.
• Assist in handling incoming inquiries and maintaining customer records.
• Engage in sales conversations with prospective and existing clients, identifying opportunities to offer insurance solutions.
• Provide excellent customer service and follow up on client needs.
• Support the team with various administrative tasks and projects.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Comfortable with engaging in sales conversations.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Compensation: $42,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
