Food Services Specialist

You will work alongside a supportive team to execute standardized recipes, manage food prep stations, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Trains workers in safety and sanitation. Prepares all religious and medically necessary diets and substitutions as needed. Directs the portioning and serving of all meals. Oversees distribution of bulk food and pre‑plated meals. Ensures that health guidelines are met in the daily preparation of food. Manages inventory and reviews daily on all items. Completes daily inventories of knives, controlled food items, and tools. Observes and records food, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures. Knowledge Knowledge of kitchens and warehouses. Knowledge of food service equipment operation. Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations and universal knowledge of inventory tracking. Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience Substitution: 2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in food services) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Food Services Assistant. OR Education: Associate's Degree (typically in Culinary Arts); Experience: 0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in food services) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Food Services Assistant. Physical Working Conditions Ability to lift, carry, and push 50 pounds. Will be required to drive a delivery truck. Work evenings and weekends. Notes FLSA: Non‑Exempt. Pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on safety‑sensitive positions. Drug testing will be completed on any position if reasonable suspicion exists. A background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant. A current Influenza Vaccination is required. Employees of this facility will be expected to follow all rules and requirements established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding COVID‑19.
