Mechanical Engineer Intern/Co-op Fall 2026

CMTA, a Legence Company – CMTA is a fast‑growing engineering firm specializing in sustainable, high‑performance building engineering. This co‑op program is for students in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering. Students will work on real mechanical/HVAC/Energy design projects, learn AutoCAD and Revit, and have the potential for full‑time employment after graduation. Position: Full‑time, onsite, 40 hrs/week. Start in August 2026, duration through Fall 2026 (dates flexible to school calendar). Competitive hourly rate, overtime eligible. No sponsorship available. Job Functions Produce detailed layout and equipment details of HVAC systems Produce one‑line diagrams and schematics Assist the design team in assembling organized sets of drawings Assist in data collection and field verification Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop all aspects of a project Requirements Currently pursuing a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, preferably sophomore or junior year Strong interest in building systems mechanical engineering Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to work independently and with a team Must be available full time in our office throughout the co‑op term Willingness to travel locally for site inspections and field work Benefits Paid sick leave 401(k) retirement savings plan Reasonable accommodations are available upon request.
