Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, DBT, IBM DataStage, SQL, ETL/ELT development, and data modeling. The role involves leading data engineering initiatives, improving data quality, and collaborating with business teams to deliver analytics-ready data solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
Build and optimize data pipelines using Snowflake and DBT.
Develop efficient data models including:
Star schema
Snowflake schema
Create and optimize complex SQL queries for performance.
Implement ELT workflows using Snowflake architecture.
Develop and maintain data integration solutions using IBM DataStage.
Work with structured and semi-structured data formats like:
JSON
Parquet
Perform data validation, testing, and ensure data quality.
Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and performance issues.
Schedule and monitor jobs using tools like Control-M.
Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and business stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and mentor junior data engineers.
Maintain documentation for data pipelines, models, and processes.
