Select Staffing has a great opportunity for 1 st shift Machinist within a manufacturing company in Chatsworth, CA.
Pay: $25
1 st shift: 6:15AM – 4:45PM
Monday to Thursday
Over time and Saturday required.
Job Summary
The Machinist Operator is required to perform first article inspections and correct any discrepancies between part measurements and print requirements. The Machinist Operator must have the ability to troubleshoot and rectify any problems. Should be adept in all aspects of machining and assist other machinists as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials and layout techniques.
- Able to set up and operate CNC Lathe or CNC Mill
- Utilizes tools and measuring instruments
- Read blueprints, machine, and inspect completed parts.
- Retrieve appropriate tools from tool crib to complete job.
- Maintains equipment as necessary.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience / Qualifications*
- Reading, writing and math ability
- Able to read, speak, and understand English
- Preferred years of experience: 3+ years
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift/carry/pull/push up to 50lbs
