Experienced Automotive Technician – A or Strong B Level

Vulcan Auto is looking for an experienced and dependable automotive technician to join our team. We are specifically seeking an A-level technician or a strong B-level technician who can diagnose and complete repairs correctly without constant supervision.

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have solid professional shop experience and be comfortable handling a variety of mechanical and diagnostic work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems accurately
• Perform engine, suspension, steering, brake, cooling-system, and A/C repairs
• Complete maintenance and repair work efficiently
• Use scan tools and service information to identify problems
• Communicate needed repairs and parts clearly
• Perform quality-control inspections before vehicles are returned
• Keep the work area clean and organized
• Document findings and completed work accurately
• Help the shop meet productivity and turnaround-time goals

Qualifications

• Must be an A-level technician or experienced B-level technician
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
• Professional automotive repair experience
• Ability to work independently and complete jobs correctly the first time
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate well
• ASE certifications are preferred but not required

Tool Requirements

Technicians are expected to have and maintain most of their own tools needed for everyday automotive repairs and basic job duties . The shop will provide certain specialty tools and equipment, but applicants must already have a suitable personal toolset for the position.

We need someone who takes pride in their work, stays productive, and can be trusted with difficult repairs. Pay will be based on experience, skill level, diagnostic ability, and productivity.
