About 715:
Locally owned & operated 715 Restaurant in Lawrence, KS. We are a high-volume, upscale midwestern restaurant featuring handmade pasta, a variety of comfort foods & exciting, seasonal dishes. Looking for someone who has a solid foundation of knowledge & confidence in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Position summary:
As a LINE COOK, you will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes. Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to the restaurant menu and following food health & safety procedures. Cook, clean, assist other cooks & plate food.

Experience:

• 1+ years of line cook experience in a face paced kitchen – but more importantly a desire to keep learning
• Previous experience in a team environment and various cooking methods preferred. Knowledge in operating a grill, oven, or fryer.
• Solid knife skills, station organization, and understanding of food safety
• A calm, focused attitude – especially on busy nights

Duties:

• Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstations
• Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
• Cooking order according to food health and safety standards
• Plating prepared food based on senior chef's guidance
• Working with servers to to ensure that orders are completed according to request and in a timely manner
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing equipment at end of shifts
• Able to work nights and weekends
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
• Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
