Experienced Diesel Mechanic/TechnicianI-State Truck Center is looking for experienced diesel mechanic/technicians for our Sioux City Iowa location. We are currently seeking diesel mechanic/technicians to join our team who are specializing in Freightliner, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT products, MTU and more! We are offering highly competitive wages!Pay Range: Up to $40.00 per hour DOEDiesel technicians will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related components in trucks, buses, and other heavy-duty vehicles. Interstate is also a leader in Heavy Diesel Construction Equipment, Off Highway Equipment and Agriculture Equipment.At Interstate we take personal pride in our work and our customer relationships that is why we carry out Pride in Service in every interaction, every single day!Diesel Mechanic/Technician Job Duties:Responsible for repairing, maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment.Technical degree or certification a plus.Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs.Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.Meet requirements for certifications.Diesel Mechanic/Technician Requirements:Valid driver's license (bonus compensation for CDL holders)Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus.Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train, and Automatic Transmissions.This is an atmosphere that is driven by customer satisfaction, accuracy of diagnostics, and efficient repairs.
