Specialty Pharmacy Liaison

Overview The Specialty Pharmacy Liaison is responsible for the communication and follow-up of any prescription triaged to assigned Specialty Pharmacies. Liaison will provide education to the pharmacy regarding applying program specific assistance and navigate complex reimbursement issues. Liaison will advise the healthcare provider and/or patient of any follow-up needs. (i.e. prior authorizations). Liaison will help to identify patient access barriers and seek resources to overcome barriers. The liaison will lead and participate in pilots, new initiatives, special projects, and cross functional teams. Responsibilities Manage questions and inquiries from the Specialty Pharmacies. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Answers inbound calls and makes outbound calls to introduce services. Records the call details in patient data system. Handles difficult patient situations when they arise. Identify and report adverse events pursuant to program requirements Identify, document, and report safety information Qualifications Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 to 4 years of experience interacting with healthcare providers regarding health insurance plan requirements. Computer skills Microsoft Office Suite. Pay Range: USD $23.11 - USD $28.89 /Hr. #J-18808-Ljbffr
