North Carolina Licensed Patient Financial Coordinator

To support the Transplant Services team, the part-time North Carolina Licensed Patient Financial Coordinator will manage financial clearance for patients, verify insurance benefits, and coordinate with clinical teams while working a hybrid schedule Monday through Friday and being part of the on-call team after hours. Key responsibilities Verify and interpret insurance benefits, providing financial counseling and establishing financial arrangements for transplant patients Coordinate communication between patients, clinical teams, and insurance providers to ensure timely financial clearance and reimbursement Maintain accurate patient data in the system and resolve billing issues related to transplant services Required qualifications High School Diploma required; advanced degree preferred Three years of healthcare experience, including at least one year in insurance verification, authorization, or billing Experience with transplant or chemotherapy programs preferred Potential membership with the Transplant Financial Coordinators Association may be required Certification with TFCA may be necessary
