The ideal candidate will bring expertise in tools such as Accubid and Bluebeam, along with a proven ability to deliver accurate and competitive estimates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates for data centre projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and client requirements.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to determine project scope and requirements.
• Utilize software tools such as Accubid and Bluebeam to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates are aligned with project goals and timelines.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities within project estimates and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and labour rates to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions to gather necessary information for project estimation.
• Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and reports to internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, with a focus on data centre projects.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software, particularly Accubid and Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and construction processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in cost estimation or project management are a plus.

Day-to-Day

• Review and analyze project documentation to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure estimates align with project objectives.
• Use Accubid and Bluebeam to create detailed cost breakdowns and reports.
• Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to discuss project requirements and estimates.
• Monitor and update cost databases to reflect current market conditions.
• Provide support during the bidding process, including responding to client inquiries and revising estimates as needed.
• Track and report on project estimation performance to ensure continuous improvement.
