The AR Coordinator works with insurance companies to ensure case reimbursement according to contract provisions and company standards for case profitability.Primary ResponsibilitiesAwareness of industry standards and practices for medical claims billingTrack accounts to keep a minimum aging and document in memo/note-taking systemOversee client accounts to ensure timely follow-up on outstanding claimsManage client administration duties such as collections reporting, insurance correspondence tracking, appealing when underpayments are received, and performing account adjustments when necessaryMaintain clear and consistent communication with the Accounts Receivable Manager and TeamRecommend and implement activities that enhance the management of client accountsEnsure reimbursements are in accordance with contract provisions and standards for case profitabilityResearch and resolve denials and EOB rejections within the standard billing cycle time frame. Identify any account discrepancies or issues that hinder claim payments.Use computer to: create appeal letters, complete insurance correspondence, email clients and staffPerform other duties as assigned2 years’ experience in medical claims collections and billing preferredProficient in medical billing software preferredExperience using insurance web portals preferredProficient in computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe or PDF software)Excellent phone, verbal, written, and editing skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage stressful situations and numerous simultaneous projects and tasksStrong independent work ethicAbility to think creatively and analyticallyAbility to maintain a professional attitude in all situations #J-18808-Ljbffr
