Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Job Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare services in accordance with established clinical guidelines and standards of practice.
• Practice under a Board-approved protocol mutually agreed upon by the Nurse Practitioner, collaborating physician, Medical Director, and MSVA.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose medical conditions, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing patient management.
• Order, administer, dispense, and prescribe medications and therapeutic treatments as permitted under the approved collaborative protocol.
• Accurately document patient encounters and maintain complete medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Educate patients on preventive care, health maintenance, and wellness initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
• Current, active, and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the State of Mississippi.
• Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) certification.
• Current national board certification (or board eligible, if applicable).
• Current BLS/CPR certification (Healthcare Provider level).
• Active DEA registration.
• Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, communication, and patient care skills.
