Primary Responsibilities Perform mechanical and structural assembly of military system components per work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings. Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment to assemble, fit, and install parts and components. Conduct inspections of in-process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. Fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing setting. May require standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and wearing PPE. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production schedules. Basic Qualifications High school diploma/GED with at least 1 (or more) years of experience working in precision assembly and/or manufacturing assembly. Must be a US Citizen Must be able to meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret security clearance. Skillful knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and assembling structures with the ability to learn the integration of large structures. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering documents, and assembly instructions. Proficient in using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges). Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination. Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP/shop floor systems. Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Must be adept with hand tools including drills, grinders, wrenches and screwdrivers, impact rivet guns, rivet puller. Candidate must be a resident of the Albuquerque area or willing to relocate to Albuquerque, NM metro area. The candidate should be willing to work overtime, including weekends, if necessary. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with high voltage (up to 100 kV) and high current (up to 10 kA) power systems. Familiarity with Costpoint/Solumina/Agile/Windchill.
