Hotel Sales Manager

We're looking for an active, customer-focused team player with exceptional sales skills to be the next sales manager at our busy hotel. You'll be in charge of developing a sales and marketing plan that includes soliciting new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets via outside sales calls, on-site visits, sales tours, and community networking. This energetic leader will be able to enhance revenue by researching local market trends and competitive behavior to discover and close business leads. Qualifications 2 or more years of hotel sales experience Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor's degree in business or a similar field a plus Exhibits superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities Prior experience working in the hospitality sector is required Stays organized and manage time well Responsibilities Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads Develop and maintain connections with important group and catering accounts in order to maintain and expand our market share Conduct yourself as a professional representative of the hotel at various industry tradeshows, conferences, and adhere to the guidelines of the budget and marketing plan Plan and compile the department budget in accordance with the hotel's overall sales objectives and strategy, with the assistance of the director of sales and marketing Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and networking in the local community #J-18808-Ljbffr
