Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical - Pediatric

Pediatric Office Nurse (RN)

Providing comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients within a medical-surgical setting, the Pediatric Office Nurse (RN) collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This full-time role involves direct patient care, education, and supervision of support staff at a critical access hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions for pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans.
• Document patient conditions, treatments, and progress accurately and promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed protocols, ensuring safety.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, treatments, and preventive care.
• Support and advocate for pediatric patients' rights, offering compassionate care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of some clinical pediatric or medical-surgical nursing experience; new grads not accepted.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proven ability to document accurately and communicate effectively.
