PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY Provide Procurement Technician Services for Indian Health Services at the Oklahoma City Area Office. PRIMARY DUTIES Provide procurement related support the Chief Contracting Officer of the Area office in the Oklahoma City, OK, Office. This is not a telework position. Consults on subject matter data from physicians, nursing staff, financial managers, engineers, and other medical and non-medical personnel for procurement documents. This includes solicitations and purchase documents for medical requirements, staffing and other requirements. Completes reviews and prepares the procurement documents for distribution. Assists contracting staff in writing Statements of Work, specifications, Government Estimates and procurement related documents for service and supply contracts. Prepares requests for signature and obtaining status of orders and pricing. Composes acquisition related documents (manuals and training information) from rough draft to final format. Develop and maintain standardized forms for contracting actions. Review and prepare the receiving and payment of purchase orders such as preventative maintenance acquisitions, utility bills, cell phone bills, and other medical and non-medical, critical and non-critical, hospital and clinical requirements. Review purchase orders to determine if delivery schedules, services, or other vital terms of the order have been met. Work consists of independently performing a full range of standard and non-standard clerical assignments. Set up and maintain departmental filing system including the acquisition files, purchase order files, prepares Field Receipts and assist with updating the weekly procurement tracking log and contract tracking logs. Comprehensive knowledge of the Prompt Payment Law to assist in reviewing invoice payment discrepancies. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION Background check required.
