Adjunct Instructor of Manufacturing Engineering Technology, UC Clermont CollegeYou are invited to submit an application to be included in the general pool of candidates in the area of Manufacturing Engineering Technology from which part-time faculty are selected. Classes to staff may include (but not limited to) both lecture and lab courses in CAD, CAM, Solid Modeling, CNC, Fluid Power, Industrial Circuits, Additive Manufacturing, Robotics, GD&T, Quality & Inspection and Lean Manufacturing. Courses are for credit and noncredit.On a part-time limited basis, the Adjunct Faculty member's primary academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating, and reporting knowledge to a diverse set of students. You are invited to apply to be included in the general pool of candidates in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from which part-time faculty are selected. Classes may include (but not limited to) both lecture and lab courses in CAM, CAD, Principles of Machining, and CNC courses. Courses are for credit and noncredit. On a part-time basis, conduct and teach assigned undergraduate level courses. Classes may be taught in Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities. Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.Minimum Requirements: Associate's degree in an appropriate discipline and prior manufacturing work experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject. Teaching responsibilities include teaching both face-to-face and on-line courses within the Manufacturing Engineering Technology programs to a diverse student population which include first-generation college students. Specifically, candidates will need to demonstrate proficiency in CNC programming, operations, and applications including CAM programming. Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.Required Education: Associate's degree in manufacturing engineering technology or closely related field. Required Experience: Minimum of five (5) years experience in a manufacturing environment. Additional Qualifications Considered: Experience in teaching CNC applications and Computer Aided Manufacturing courses at the college level. Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering technology or a closely related engineering technology degree. Industry recognized certifications or credentials. Teaching experience with a diverse learner population including first-generation college students. A commitment to cultural diversity and inclusive teaching.
