Responsibilities The Construction Manager is responsible for enforcing the terms of the contract and managing the relationship with the client. Specific responsibilities include serving as the Owner’s Representative; facilitating and attending meetings with the Contractor, client agencies, and the public; establishing and maintaining project records; monitoring construction activities and schedules and maintaining records of completed work through daily reports; facilitating weekly project meetings with the Contractor, Agency, and other stakeholders; coordinating and communicating effectively with the team and clients; reviewing and responding to Contractor’s RFIs, submittals, letters, NOPCs, and claims; and managing and forecasting project budgets. Requirements BS in Construction Management, Civil, or Structural Engineering, or closely related field (preferred) plus six (6) years (CM) or ten (10) years (Sr. CM) of relevant construction experience, OR AS in Construction Management or closely related field plus eight (8) years (CM), twelve (12) years (Sr. CM) of relevant construction experience AND Certified as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) OR Registered as a California Professional Engineer Possess a valid driver’s license and clear DMV record Must have the ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check Competitive Salary and generous benefits including health, vision, dental, life, disability, 401(k), PTO and paid holidays.
