Reports to: Campus Principal
Location: In-Person, CASLV School Campus Las Vegas, NV; Henderson, NV
Position Type: Full-Time, 12-Month
Position Summary
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors and is responsible for creating a professional, welcoming, and customer-service-oriented environment. This position supports the daily operations of the school by managing front desk activities, answering phones, assisting visitors, and providing administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Customer Service
- Greet and assist students, parents, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and ensure compliance with visitor check-in procedures.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls and respond to general inquiries.
- Provide information regarding school policies, procedures, events, and programs.
- Maintain a welcoming and organized reception area.
Administrative Support
- Assist with filing, copying, scanning, data entry, and general clerical duties.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, forms, and school communications.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with document management.
- Support office staff with administrative projects and special assignments.
- Monitor and maintain office supplies and notify appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
Student & Family Support
- Assist with student sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Support attendance-related processes as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding school information and procedures.
- Direct parents and visitors to appropriate staff members or departments.
Communication & Coordination
- Receive and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings.
- Support school events and activities as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of student, employee, and school information.
Other Duties
- Comply with all school policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service, receptionist, administrative, or office experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office technology.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working in a K-12 school environment.
- Experience with student information systems and office management software.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities.

Work Environment
The Receptionist works in a fast-paced school office environment with frequent interaction with students, families, staff, and community members. The position requires extended periods of sitting, computer work, telephone communication, and occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 25 pounds. The role may require flexibility during peak enrollment periods, school events, and other operational needs.
