Job Title

Progressive Care RN – Cardiac Stepdown

Location

Hilo, HI | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift | 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care on a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit consisting of step-down ICU and telemetry beds
• Perform telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading
• Conduct fingerstick blood sugar monitoring
• Utilize Meditech for charting, Pyxis for medication management, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-Down ICU
• Float to other acute units as needed, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER

Required Qualifications

• Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
• Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Registered Nurse (RN) – active and unrestricted license

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Progressive Care and telemetry experience strongly preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• PALS certification (current) preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
