A major Japanese airline located in Torrance, California is seeking a Customer Service Desk Associate to join its team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to improve their communication skills and grow in a customer service environment. A dedicated training team will provide strong support, so candidates can feel confident applying.
Job Summary
The Customer Service Desk Associate will provide customer service by handling travel-related inquiries, managing travel arrangements, and supporting company promotions in order to meet customer needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Handle customer service inquiries and travel arrangements
- Assist customers with travel-related questions and requests
- Support company promotions and customer-facing services
- Perform general administrative duties
- Use computer systems and phone equipment to support daily operations
Requirements
- Bilingual in Japanese and English
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to work 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Ability to operate interactive computer terminals and telephone equipment, including handsets and headsets, for extended periods
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong reading comprehension, listening, and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Associate degree or higher preferred

Work Schedule
This position requires an 8-hour shift with a 30-minute break. Candidates must be available to work both Saturday and Sunday.
Daylight Saving Time / PDT
- Early shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Late shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Standard Time / PST
- Early shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Late shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
For the first several years, the schedule will include weekends with weekdays off. However, the company offers a shift exchange system within the team.
