On-Call Assessment Projects Specialist

The On-Call Assessment Projects Specialist provides project-based support for institutional assessment and academic effectiveness initiatives. The position assists with communications, data and resource management, meeting and event coordination, process documentation, reporting, and stakeholder support. Work hours/assignments will vary based on departmental priorities and project timelines. Schoolcraft is a comprehensive, open-door, community-based college. Job Duties Assist with time-sensitive communications and professional interactions involving administrators, faculty, staff, and other project stakeholders. Prepare, organize, and maintain project data, materials, and resources while supporting accuracy, security, integrity, confidentiality, and appropriate retention practices. Coordinate project meetings, assessment activities, faculty work sessions, and events based on established timelines and deliverables. Support institutional assessment activities, including Core Abilities assessment, by preparing materials, organizing data and documentation, tracking participation and deliverables, and coordinating follow-up communication. Assist with the development and maintenance of Standards of Practice (SOPs), workflows, guides, and historical records that document and operationalize departmental processes. Collaborate with project leaders, administrators, faculty, and staff to support access to assessment results, reports, dashboards, and other project communications. Compile, validate, analyze, and summarize qualitative and quantitative information for interim status updates, project reports, and presentations. Assist with process-improvement projects involving data collection, file organization, tracking tools, communication practices, and project workflows. Maintain project records and resources, including assessment materials, non-contractual agreements, event materials, office supplies, and file backups, as assigned. Provide in-person office, meeting, or event coverage and assist with student employees when assigned. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, sensitivity, and collaborative working relationships. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting or coordinating multiple initiatives or projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills using data sets and formulas. Ability to organize, validate, and manage multiple data sets, records, and reports. Ability to manage competing priorities and complete detailed work within established timelines. Excellent interpersonal skills with an emphasis on collaboration, service, and positive outcomes. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in a related field. Experience supporting institutional assessment, academic effectiveness, curriculum, higher education, or faculty-led projects. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Smartsheet, or similar collaboration and project-tracking tools. Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague, Modern Campus products, or other higher education information systems. Ability to learn emerging educational concepts, assessment practices, and related technology. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
