This well-established healthcare organization serves as a large tertiary care hospital complex with a combined 500-bed capacity, spanning nearly 1,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians across all medical and surgical specialties. The facility utilizes EPIC electronic medical records in both clinic and hospital settings and supports outreach consultative services at 10 regional clinic locations across 20 clinics and 7 hospitals.

Casual - Nephrologist


Job Details:

• Join a long-term, low turnover team of 5 Nephrologists providing full scope Nephrology practice
• Clinical Nephrology services include hypertension management and post-transplant care
• Hospital practice includes ICU coverage, acute dialysis services, and apheresis
• Manage a dialysis population of approximately 300 patients across 2 units in Duluth (18 & 22 stations) and 7 satellite locations
• Dialysis services include home hemodialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement, CAPD, and CCPD
• Physicians serve as Medical Director at dialysis locations
• Inpatient care provided at a combined 500-bed tertiary care hospital complex
• Nephrology functions as a consultative service with hospitalists serving as the admitting service
• Collaborative team environment including RNs, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Nurse Practitioners
• Outreach consultative services available at 10 regional clinic locations
• BC/BE Nephrology certification required
