Location: Florida (Sanford, Jacksonville, Tampa, Melbourne) OR Northern Region (Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Greenville, Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Indianapolis, Burlington, Charles Town)

***Need to reside in one of these areas

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Structure: Primarily Remote (95%)

• Will report to the office once/ month for meeting

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Estimator to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical side of estimating and has a strong background in itemized estimating, detailed material takeoffs, and blueprint analysis .

Unlike traditional estimating roles focused on lump-sum pricing or bid chasing, this position requires a detail-oriented professional who can accurately quantify every component of a residential construction project—from individual lumber counts to rebar quantities. This is a primarily remote position, but candidates should live within commuting distance of one of our office locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, itemized estimates for residential construction projects.
• Perform comprehensive material takeoffs directly from construction drawings and blueprints.
• Analyze architectural and structural plans to determine material quantities and project costs.
• Manage approximately two projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams as needed throughout the estimating process.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation using company systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential construction estimating experience .
• Proven experience performing itemized estimating and detailed material takeoffs (not lump-sum estimating).
• Strong ability to read and interpret residential construction blueprints.
• Experience estimating framing, lumber, rebar, and other building materials with precision.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a primarily remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Bluebeam for estimating and takeoffs.
• Exposure to Higharc is a plus, though not required.
