Job overview and responsibilities Reporting to Manager or Shift Manager, represent the station Technical Operations department in a professional manner while interacting and coordinating with other departments in the Station Operations Center, Aircraft Routing, Aircraft Dispatch, and Flight Crews.Receive and coordinate the recovery of maintenance discrepancies initiated by inbound and outbound flight crews Coordinate and track the recovery of scheduled deferred itemsNotify and communicate the status of aircraft that are out of service or on a maintenance delay to Maintenance Control and Local OperationsCoordinate and track planned maintenance efforts for thru flightsInitiate and update TOC (Technical Operations Computer System) and AMIS logs on all aircraft that are out of service, in a planned hold or have significant maintenance activities on goingCoordinate station supplier requirements that are required to support maintenance activitiesIdentify and communicate maintenance troubleshooting and repair procedures as requiredEnsure delay reports are entered and compile delay data for tracking and analysis What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): High school diploma or equivalentFAA A&P Certificate5 years in the aircraft maintenance industryContract and regulatory experienceMeets or exceeds operational performance goals including on-time performance, maintenance check span, productivity & safety objectivesMeets or exceeds business plan objectivesIdentifies the need for change and / or improvement and executes the same involving the appropriate people and level of resources as neededBuilds and maintains professional and productive work environment for labor groups and management teamsEffectively communicates with employees of all levels aligning the team for successExtensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and applicable FAA regulationsSetting up ongoing procedures to collect and review information needed to manage an organization or ongoing activities within itIdentifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications): Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experienceAviation Management, Engineering, or related field2 years in a leadership role within a large maintenance organization including a unionized labor workforce.
