Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-hour shifts (3x12); some 8-hour shifts as needed | Evening/Night rotation: 15:00–03:30 or 19:00–07:30 | Weekend and holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to both adult and pediatric patient populations in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks
• Float to other units as needed based on departmental staffing requirements
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as part of standard scheduling obligations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years
• Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only – required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry competency exam (adult and pediatric) prior to start; strict pass/fail criteria apply with a passing score of 80% or higher and 100% identification of lethal rhythms
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume, Level I or Level II trauma center environment
• Strong proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, including pediatric arrhythmias
• Experience working in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center setting
