Diesel Technician IIJob Summary: As a Diesel Technician II, you'll perform basic to mid-range diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and most repairs and replacements.Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:Troubleshooting / Maintenance / Repair & Replacement: Performs basic to mid-range diagnostics and troubleshootingPerforms basic to advanced weldingPerforms most repairs, preventative maintenance, and replacements in assigned classificationUsually works alone on repair ordersPerforms some trainingPerforms preventative and predictive repair maintenance as assignedAssists in advanced welding, brake repair / overhaul, steering / alignment; repairs / adjusts clutchesTroubleshoots / repairs electrical systems, engine operations, trans / differential operations, air conditioning operation, cooling systems, exhaust systems, fuel systems, and basic diagnosticsPerforms state inspectionsPerforms Diesel Tech I dutiesThe responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position.
