TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Beaufort, South Carolina, 29902!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience required, including Step Down/PCU experience. License: Valid state license required. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required. Must-Have: MUST be comfortable floating frequently. Must already possess required state license. Travelers must have experience in both Step Down and Med Surg/Tele units. Description: This role requires a registered nurse to work on a Med Surg unit that frequently floats to Step Down and Med Surg/Tele units. Nurses must be comfortable doing both types of nursing care. Patient ratios are Step Down: 1:4-5 and Med Surg: 1:5-6. Floating is a critical part of the position. Travelers should not live within a certain radius from the facility. No background hits are accepted. Knowledge of various nursing skills such as IV start, telemetry, and post-operative care is essential. Experience with charting systems is preferred. The unit provides care for primarily surgical and orthopedic patients, with some medical overflow. Additional patient diagnoses include respiratory illnesses and cardiac conditions. The role may require management of specialized equipment related to patient care. Workers will float as needed within the facility and must be adaptable to different units.
