Assistant Athletic Trainer

Role Description The Assistant Athletic Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based in Raleigh, NC, supporting the health and performance of student-athletes across multiple sports. Daily responsibilities include assisting with injury assessment, prevention strategies, and rehabilitation programs under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer. The role involves preparing student-athletes for practices and games, overseeing treatment sessions, and maintaining accurate medical and rehabilitation records. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will collaborate with coaches, strength and conditioning staff, and healthcare professionals to ensure safe return-to-play decisions and compliance with university and athletic regulations. Additional duties may include assisting with coverage of home and away events, managing athletic training facilities, and contributing to student-athlete education on wellness and safety. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Injury Prevention and Prevention strategies to support safe participation and reduce risk of athletic injuries. Candidates should possess comprehensive Athletic Training skills, including injury evaluation, treatment planning, and return-to-play decision-making. Candidates should possess Strength & Conditioning skills to collaborate on performance programs that enhance athletic capability and reduce injury risk. Candidates should possess Rehabilitation skills to design and implement effective recovery and reconditioning plans for injured student-athletes. Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field, BOC certification, and eligibility for state licensure or registration as required. Additional beneficial qualifications include CPR/AED and first aid certification, experience working with collegiate athletics, strong communication and documentation skills, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. #J-18808-Ljbffr
